FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

Our practice does not accept private insurance at this time. A Superbill can be made available upon request for you to submit to your insurance company for partial to full reimbursement for services. You can contact your insurance company prior to your first session to inquire about potential reimbursement for your child’s evaluation and/or treatment. Flower City Occupational Therapy, PLLC does not guarantee partial or full reimbursement from your insurance provider.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit card, or FSA/HSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Do I need a referral for service?

You do not need a referral for an evaluation or direct service. In the event that a referral is needed, FCOT will obtain the referral from a physician.

My child did not qualify for school based OT, can they still receive OT services?

Yes! The scope of services that school based occupational therapists can provide is limited; they can only provide services if a child’s access to the educational environment is impacted by functional impairment(s). In outpatient OT there is flexibility to support your child and family to address those functional impairments (ex. sensory processing, handwriting needs, etc.) in an individualized manner so your child further their independence and well-being.
